Daniel Perez
Cohort 4 Alum - 2024-2025

Daniel Perez is a Program Manager in the Department of Education and Early Learning for the City of Seattle, bringing more than 10 years of experience in continuous quality improvement, teacher coaching, and program management. His deep commitment to equity and community engagement has shaped his leadership in creating sustainable, data-driven systems that uplift diverse learners and educators.

During his five years with the City of Seattle, Daniel has helped develop key policies for the Seattle Preschool Program (SPP), including the Dual-Language Initiative, designed in collaboration with Seattle’s multilingual community leaders. He also built continuous quality improvement systems for the SPP coaching program, managed multi-million dollar contracts, and created technology-based solutions to expand outreach and coaching support.

Daniel’s work integrates race and social justice principles, supporting staff in using data-driven interventions to better serve historically marginalized communities. Beyond city government, he has taught courses at Highline College, coached preschool educators, and consulted with community leaders to help launch new early learning programs.

A lifelong learner and educator, Daniel is fluent in Spanish and passionate about cultural expression. Outside of work, he enjoys playing music and performing with Afro-Caribbean folkloric groups in Seattle.
