2. When is tuition due? Is there a payment plan?

Tuition is due before the first retreat by June 14, 2024. We do offer a payment plan on request which would split your balance into three payments; one due in June 2024, one due in November 2024 and the last due in April 2025.

3. What does the year long program look like?

Our year-long program starts in July 2024 and ends July 2025. There are three retreats, two five-day in person retreats in July 2024 and July 2025 at Stony Point Center and one three day virtual retreat TBD in February 2025. There will also be, at minimum, two monthly meetings on Wednesdays at 4pm-6pm PT/7pm - 9pm ET starting in August 2024 and ending in June 2025.

4. Do I have to attend all three retreats?

Yes, to get the most out of the program and create the beloved community from beginning to end, we expect 100% attendance for the retreats. We do understand that life happens and we would like you to attend at least 80% of the Wednesday night meetings.

5. How do others pay for this? Are there scholarships?

Typically, the organization or school you work for will cover your expenses for the program including tuition, travel, and room & board. There are scholarships available for tuition based on need and you will be able to indicate any financial need you have on the application.

6. Can you share more about the application process?

The selection process is competitive, and we’ve always had several more applicants than available spots for Fellows. Each application has two or more reviewers from the TEL selection committee. Applicants will be notified of the selection committee’s decision in early April.

7. Who can write me a recommendation letter?

Your recommendation could be written by someone who has worked with you, but we are open to any recommendations that can give insight to your experience in and commitment to educational leadership. The person will need to send the recommendation letter to you so you can upload it with your application.
