Kimberly Early

Kimberly is an African American woman, a mother, a community activist, an educator and one of her passions is working in community with others! Much of her work relates directly to the theme of cultural diversity, curriculum planning and collaborative communication. For the past 4 years, she has worked as a coach at the Seattle Preschool Program in the City of Seattle, which offers free or low-cost preschool for 3- & 4-year old’s. She has over 28 years teaching experience working with children from preschool through high school. For the past 14 years, She has worked at Highline College as an adjunct faculty, teaching various Early Childhood Education (ECE) classes. Reaching back and giving back to the community is extremely important to her so her volunteer work includes environmental justice, centering social justice around Black children and working towards making systematic changes to policies that improve the life of Black children! She has a 24-year-old son, a grouchy cat and she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, dancing, and reading!
