She also teaches social studies at Brooklyn College Academy (BCA) an Early College High School where she has received SEL Innovation, Butler Cooley Excellence in Teaching, and Long Island University Teacher of the Year Awards for her enriched classroom environment rooted in mindful practice. Dr. Noble applies this framework to her research interest focus on mindfulness in education, as well as the ""effective"" integration of technology in instructional design and classroom instruction. Linda has a Bachelor’s degree in business studies from the University of Limerick, Ireland, two Masters degrees one from New York University and a second from Brooklyn College, as well as a Doctorate in education from New York University. Currently, Dr. Noble is pursing a Year Long Certifications as a Mindfulness Educator with Mindful Schools.org and the Omega Institutes Transformational Educational Leadership Programs 2018-2019. Linda also collaborates on providing professional development Workshops in Mindfulness to in-service educators. As Project Lead she spearheaded collaborations with BCA partner MNDFL Ed. in setting up the BCA Mindfulness Center to serve the community. This initiative is part of the Mental Health by Design (MHxD) pilot project supported by a grant awarded by the Fund for Public Health in New York City (a nonprofit arm of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene). In addition, NoVo Foundation, Education First and Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors awarded a second grant to cultivate mindful teaching in support of social and emotional learning at the BCA Mindfulness Center.
