Marquin Parks
Cohort 4 Alum - 2024-2025

Marquin Parks is an Academic Engagement and Social Emotional Learning Officer and Facilitator, as well as a former Intervention Specialist and classroom teacher. He is also a published author, best known for his Wrinkles Wallace series of children’s novels, a consultant for the National Writing Project, and a public speaker who inspires others through creativity, connection, and storytelling.

Marquin’s work centers on helping students and educators engage meaningfully in learning and personal growth through social emotional learning practices. He is passionate about creating experiences that empower young people to express themselves authentically and develop confidence in their voices.

In addition to his professional roles, Marquin enjoys writing both books and Positive Breathing Journeys (PBJs), which reflect his dedication to mindfulness, positivity, and emotional well-being.

He lives in southeastern Michigan with his wife, two sons, and their Green Cheek Conure, Jet, where he continues to write, teach, and share messages of hope and human connection through education and creativity.
